LAUNCH OF THE FOURTH STAGE OF THE PROJECT “REHABILITATION OF WAR-AFFECTED INDIVIDUALS WITH PTSD SYMPTOMS USING VR TECHNOLOGIES”
On October 13, 2025, the implementation of the fourth stage of the large-scale project aimed at introducing innovative technologies into the psychological support system for those affected by the war officially began.
At this stage, the team focuses on developing a specialized chatbot that will serve as an effective tool to optimize communication between patients and therapists working with war-related trauma.
This digital instrument will significantly expand access to psychological assistance and create new opportunities for both sides:
- For patients, the chatbot will enable quick appointment scheduling, timely reminders about therapy sessions, access to self-help materials, and immediate feedback.
- For therapists, it will simplify the organization of consultations, allow efficient tracking of patients’ progress, and provide up-to-date insights into their emotional well-being.
After development and successful testing, the chatbot will be made available to new users — both patients seeking PTSD treatment using VR therapy and qualified mental health professionals.
The implementation of this important initiative is the result of fruitful cooperation between the NGO “Kyivshchyna – That’s Us” and LLC “VR Mentality”, together with leading experts from the Educational and Research Institute of Mental Health of O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University.
The project is carried out with the support of the International Visegrad Fund and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
